They lie steal and cheat! They will take money out of your bank account that is for those hidden fees they don't tell you about! Money that would have otherwise gone for food for my daughter and I! Stay away from them! Pathetic!

I was tricked into changing from square to this company by a salesman who either was a crook or did not really know what he was doing (or both most likely). I was told there were no hidden fees (there are several) and that there is no contract (there is a 3 year contract hidden deep in the paperwork). I sent my equipment back and they continue to DRAFT MONEY FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT. I try and stop them but they change the numbers used to access my account slightly and the bank says- this is a sign on a shady company. They, as yet have not been able to stop them. I am going next to my state attorney general to file a complaint. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THESE PEOPLE - THEY ARE EVIL!!!
Just don't do it! Ever. End of story. Use Square or Quicken or someone who is known.

Misleading and untruthful
By "no monthly fee" they mean a $10 monthly fee, and by "no miminum monthly charges", they mean there is a $25 minimum monthly charge. But wait, it gets better, by no long-term commitment and monthly renewals with no cancellation charge, they mean a minimum of one year commitment with a $350 cancellation penalty. I will not do business with Phone Swipe and I would not recommentd to anyone to do business with them.
THEY DO RANDOM AUDITS AND THEY WILL NOT MAKE YOU AWARE. THEY HOLD YOUR MONEY FOR ALL TRANSACTIONS AND IT TAKES A WEEK TO TWO WEEKS FOR THEM TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. AT THE SAME TIME THEY KEEP SAYING 24 TO 48 HOURS. YOU HAVE TO KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS BILLING ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBERS ON FILE FOR EACH TRANSACTION
This app used to be great! Fees were comparable to others but after the latest update...it SUCKS!
You must log in with email, password, then another password. Takes too long to do a transaction and it doesn't total anything anymore in the reports! I own a beauty salon and several times (after an update) I lost ALL my inventory, now it doesn't total my sales tax for the past 9 months and I have to go into EACH ticket and write it down myself and tally the tax because it's due in 2 weeks to the state!
It takes forever on the phone to speak with support and if you email them, they tell you to call, which means you're on the phone for about 30-60 minutes and who has that kind of time?? I just got off the phone with tech and they told me the app no longer totals the sales tax totals! Ugh!!!
I am going to cancel PhoneSwipe within a week!
This program was good in the beginning and I referred several people to them (without a $50 referral bonus) but I wouldn't recommend this to ANY business!!! Unreliable and not useful!!
There are no 'pros' as the App is faulty. The "Customer Service" team is willing to take phone call, but they are not willing to resolve an issue that they created.
The "Cons" are many. We called NAB in late June to resolve an issue with their App. The "Customer Service" depart. was not aware or otherwise pretended they were not aware of a glitch & acted as if it were "user error". A week passed & still we were unable to use the App, and were and still are unable to offer our customers the option to pay by credit card. We called again and spoke with a "supervisor", who claimed that there was a "known bug" & it would be resolved by the next Monday. We called the following Wednesday to learn that the glitch would be fixed in an undetermined amount of time. We asked that our "service" be cancelled because they were not delivering a service to us; we were told that we would have to incur a fee of $700 plus to cancel. So, we'll be paying a $12 fee for the next 21 months and NAB will not benefit from % of credit card sales. We are now using Square Credit Card Reader.
They advertise as having customer service readily available. You will be put on hold for lengthy periods of time and sometimes will receive a message that they are busy and to leave a message and someone will get back to you...doesn't happen. Another thing is when you do get someone, you are sometimes transferred back and forth between customer service and tech support (and put on hold each time mind you) because nobody can answer a question no matter how basic outside of their department.
Overall, I like the convenience of a card reader; however, phoneswipe definitely needs help with their customer service/tech support. If they are going to market themselves as being available, then they need to ensure a shorter hold time. I'm willing to give them a try for a bit longer and see what happens.
Horrible, rude customer service. They will cancel your account for no apparent reason and leave you in a lurch
My account was cancelled for no apparent reason. I responded asking what the problem was. No answer. After spending an hour on the phone, getting hung up on and having to start all over several times, I finally got through to an account manager, who interrupted me mid-sentence and told me my account was cancelled because my business wasn't permitted. Ummm, what? I run a small tech support business. I asked why it wasn't allowed, and she said it just wasn't. I scoured the internet and couldn't find any mention of my type (or any type) of business being restricted. In fact, in their terms it says that "ABSOLUTELY ANYONE CAN USE PHONESWIPE." I'm fairly certain my account was cancelled to meet some sort of quota.
The worst part was, since they cancelled my account immediately without any warning, was having to call my clients in the next couple days and tell them, embarrassed, that I couldn't take credit cards for a week or so while I wait for my Square reader to arrive.
