This app can help you to track your learning, providing you with personalized insights to help you become a better learning.
You can log lifelong learning, developmental workplace learning, academic learning, research-oriented learning, or any other type of learning.
You can track the learning in any number of topics. You starting by specifying the topic(s) you are learning, or intending to learn. You then log current and/or potential learning resources. Resource includes social resources, such as family, friends, and mentors, and material resources, such as books, videos and articles. Finally you start logging your daily learning interactions with these resources.
After logging a number of interactions, the report section in Learmapp becomes meaningful. It provides you with the number of hours we've spent learning on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. It also provides a breakdown of the time spent learning various topics.
This App has been developed by researchers at the University of Oxford, UK. As part of a research study aimed at exploring learners' learning ecologies and their patterns of engagement with these research. In lay terms, we want to understands the resources people draw upon to learn, the shape of this network/ecology of researchers, and how the learning evolves through these ecologies.
Any data this app collects will remain private and be securely stored. Only members of the research team will be able to access your data, and only for the purpose of conducting further research about networked learning and learning ecologies.
You have the right to opt out of this research at any time by uninstalling the application. You also have the right to access any information related to you, and request for any part of that data to be removed.
