A program that recovers 100 percent of your damaged Photoshop files would be a wondrous utility, but PSD Repair Tool is not that program. PSD Repair Tool's sparse interface isn't difficult to master. Anyone able to navigate the Photoshop menus will feel they're using training wheels here.
It couldn't be easier to load your broken Photoshop image. It also couldn't be more disappointing. In our tests, we couldn't repair a single test image. It would load some, but the repaired result was a mess. In other cases, PSD Repair Tool simply couldn't import the image into the program. It could load undamaged PSD files, but that was the extent of its accomplishments.
The publisher advertises this application as the solution for the most hopeless cases. Maybe so, but our barely damaged files proved too much for PSD Repair Tool. Sure, any level user can easily install and use this application, but no user will be happy with the final results.
