It would encourage providers to implement best practices for responsible prescribing which includes the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration for post operative and acutely injured patients. Course details opioid selection, dosage, duration of treatment, followup and discontinuation of opioid therapy.

After successfully answering the questions the learner would receive Continuing Medical Education Certificate that is required by many State Examining Boards for renewal of license.
