About Asia Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (APSOPRS) The Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of the Asia-Pacific region was created with an idea to share with each experiences and learn advances in the practice of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The society was founded in the year 2000 at a meeting in Manila, Phillipines. Since then 6 biennial meetings of the society have been organized and the New Delhi meeting is the 7th. About Oculoplastics Association of India ( OPAI) The "Orbit Society of India" was formally founded in the year 1987 during the Orbit meeting in Bangalore. The name was changed to Orbit and Oculoplasty Association of India during the next All India Ophthalmological Society Meeting in 1988, and formally assumed its current title Oculoplastics Association of India (OPAI), with Dr. D B Chandra as the founder President and Dr. A.K.Grover as the founder Hony. Secretary. The society has grown in last 24 years from initial handful of members to over 350 members. This year the OPAI will be celebrating its silver jubilee. During the last decade, the society has earned a distinctive and unique place in Indian and World ophthalmology.
