Editors' Review

True to its name, this screensaver shows you a number of pictures featuring animals indigenous to the United States. North American Wildlife displays good-looking full-screen shots of creatures such as bighorn sheep, otters, bald eagles, and bobcats. The demo overlays smaller pictures of other animals, but they're too tiny to really see. The theme music is nice enough at first but quickly becomes repetitive, so we were glad to find an option for turning it off. Unfortuately, other than the ability to set the image interval, this screensaver's feature set is virtually nonexistent. North American Wildlife also occasionally displays nag screens, but that's by no means a dealbreaker. If you want to bask in the glory of America's wildlife and don't care about extensive customization options, it won't hurt you to try this application.
