NetOK was created to help troubleshoot PC networking connection problems. The typical scenario is a traveling user that can not access a public or company server. In this situation the first troubleshooting steps would be tests of the core network requirements, followed by specific target servers. NetOK can be run as needed or run continuously and minimized in the system tray. When minimized in the system tray, the NetOK icon is a traffic light that shows green when there are no problems and red when there are problems. When red, NetOK will notify the user of the specific problems.
NetOK comes configured to check the core network connections to Gateways, DHCP servers, DNS servers, and you can also configure your own specific servers. Server addresses can be specified by URL & port or IP address & port. Help is provided for the core network connections and you can add help information for your servers. Your configuration, help, & NetOK can be distributed via a self generated Setup.exe. Version 1.9 can now run minimized in the system tray and warns the user when there is a problem with a specific network connection. This version also remembers the prior setup and if run from the startup will run with the same settings saved after the last exit.
