Nero MediaHome is a neatly organized media manager that quickly retrieves and plays many forms of audio and video. The friendly design and reliable support make using this application easy and enjoyable. Many interesting features are available with this software, but the price of some add-ons may not be worth it.
Great interface: Nero MediaHome has a very neat and orderly layout that is quite intuitive. Regardless of your skill level, you will easily find what you're looking for because of the organization tabs and clean interface. Customizable themes are also available for free, which gives you the ability to enhance Nero's design.
Superb features: We found that the facial recognition and tag management tools worked perfectly during our tests. The slideshow creator is engaging, and you will take pleasure in the different themes and design options that come standard with Nero.
High performance: During our tests, Nero MediaHome never crashed and always located media files on our PC. Song and video playback were flawless, and the application never displayed any sluggishness or errors.
Unnecessary costs: Nero MediaHome supports a large variety of files if you pay extra for "Apps." Many of these Apps are actually plug-ins that come standard with other media players, so we believe this aspect of the software is unfair to you.
You will not find many faults with Nero MediaHome, but you may find yourself frustrated with the unsupported video codecs. Other programs, like Roxio, offer video capture tools; we suggest that Nero include this as well if it wants to remain competitive. We suggest you download Nero MediaHome to manage your files; and judging by the performance of Nero's free software, the paid version is likely a powerful, well-built service, as well.
