This no-frills, single-purpose application provides real-time RAM usage data, but offers no other features to make it a truly robust and essential tool. NeedToKnow's minute interface appears as a floating message bar on your desktop that shows the amount of available and currently in-use RAM memory. The program is set to begin counting automatically at start-up and minimizes to the system tray. The inclusion of memory optimizer tools or a graphical display of memory allotment might bring some further purpose to this application. While this program's near-featurelessness keeps it from really thrilling us, folks requiring nothing more than a RAM monitor might find NeedToKnow worth downloading. If that's the sort of tool you need, this utility is fine for all user levels.

Developer's Description

Examine your computer by permanent RAM memory information. Computer and RAM, human and mind, we both have a memory, but in mind we have only our actual information. And the first step to knowledge is not watching the contents.
