This program is a spiritual alarm clock that periodically displays verses from the Bible. The verses are cited according to translation (King James, New American Standard, or Amplified) and arranged by subject. You can add other verses, although to place them under a subject, you need to manually edit the special text file. The alarm interval can be set from once a minute to once every four hours, which precludes a daily meditation. In Sleep mode, the program is stuck in the taskbar. Although it is essentially a text-reading program, My Daily Scripture doesn't allow you to set other fonts or backgrounds. The program does its job of keeping the Bible in your thoughts, but its performance and usability could improve.

Developer's Description

My Daily Scripture (MDS) makes it easy to meditate on the Bible throughout the day, especially since the addition of the parallel translation feature (with versions including NIV, Amplified, NASB, and KJV). Depending on your personal learning style, you can select three ways to use MDS. You can manually start it and let it run throughout the day. Using our unique Verse Reminder technology, you will be reminded to meditate on a new scripture every 15 minutes (range is from one minute to four hours). You can also start MDS automatically when you log into your computer or by using the scheduling feature. This last option lets you select specific times throughout the day when you want to meditate on a scripture.
