Music Composition Tools for Android

Music Composition Tools is an Android application that simplifies working with musical scales and chords. These tools are suitable for use in music composition, as an educational tool, or just as a form of recreation. Pressing any of the displayed scales or chords on the screen plays the indicated selection. The user can hear the sound of the selected scale or chord without having to know how to play a musical instrument. This allows the novice to quickly gain an insightful understanding into music theory and, perhaps, develop the desire to pursue the subject more formally in future. There are three tools currently provided: Chords from Scale, Intersection of Two Scales, and Notes to Scales.
