Editors' Review

Although it doesn't support as many third-party programs as some competitors, this PC-cleaning application still strikes us as a very good option. The resizable, logically arranged main window is easy enough to comprehend in only seconds. You can delete cookies, cached files, typed URLs, favorites, and the history from Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Opera. Max Eraser also lets you perform such functions as emptying your Recycle Bin and clearing your clipboard. In addition, the utility cleans traces left by programs such as popular P2P apps, antispyware utilities, and a few IM clients. The ability to create custom plug-ins is a nice bonus to more savvy users. We're glad to say Max Eraser can schedule cleaning sessions, contains a file shredder, and encrypts individual documents or entire folders. We can recommend Max Eraser to most home users concerned with their privacy.
