Editors' Review

by   / February 27, 2009

This security application provides a multilevel layer of protection against hackers, viruses, Trojan horses, and other threats to your computer. Malware Remover Backdoor Guard showcases an eye-catching interface composed of several options, requiring a visit to the help file. As expected, this application protects against known and unknown viruses delivered via e-mail. A guard alert appears each time the program acts to protect your system and when a new program is accessed. Though it offers protection from malicious intrusions, we were able to access a site from an unknown zone and download some files during testing. The application can monitor most commonly used programs and can be configured to automatically access the Internet. You can also lock your browser, e-mail accounts, and chats while you're away from your computer. Though users will find this program easy-to-use, its limited functionality during the trial is a disappointment.
