This utility lets you monitor and record MSN Messenger conversations across a network, though we find the demo somewhat anemic. With MSN Spy, monitoring MSN chat sessions on your network or switch hub is easy: just choose the network or PC to spy on, and click Start. Unfortunately, the program doesn't support other popular IM clients such as Yahoo or AIM. Chat sessions are logged along with the time of each message, but we're sad to report the trial version only logs the first five lines of a conversation. The app lets you view, print, or save logged conversations, but this 15-day trial program does not run in stealth mode, meaning it's way too easy for the person being monitored to locate. Also choosing several targets to monitor slows your computer down. Network administrators may find the program useful in its full version, but the demo only offers a taste.
