Although it's admirable that you can view an entire Web site offline with LiveCHM, the lack of user direction minimizes this offline browsing program's usefulness.
LiveCHM gives users an opportunity to view entire Web sites offline, and you can set up regular updates so offline pages reflect online changes. In addition, the program can organize and file multiple websites for a great deal of offline surfing. The difficulty with LiveCHM is that users are on a life raft and must paddle for themselves to maximize this program's features. There is no tutorial and very little direction provided, so users are left with trial and error. The hardest part is the most basic, which is downloading a site and then viewing that page. Fortunately, there are a minimum of buttons and options, which makes success possible for the patient user. With a few minutes of experimenting and clicking the various buttons it becomes clear how to set up a file.
LiveCHM works, but you're on your own in figuring out how to use it. Less experienced users in search of an offline browser should find a more user-friendly tool.
