Want to land your dream job or make a career change? Then just quickly apply to these career opportunities within the app.

Tailored experience: Connect your LinkedIn account to the LinkedIn Job Search app, and you'll be taken through a series of questions to ensure the app sends you only the most relevant listings from hiring managers at companies you want to work for. First, add the job titles you're interested in, then select the locations you want to work in, and then flip over your proverbial "Open for business" sign by turning on the feature that alerts recruiters that you're interested in new career opportunities.
Minimal UI: LinkedIn Job Search will look familiar to LinkedIn users, but the app is even easier to navigate than its companion website, as it focuses only on jobs. The Home page shows people a list of job postings you may be interested in. (If they don't match your preferences, then tap the Update Preferences button.) You can also use the search bar up top to find job openings by job title or keyword. The Track tab is where you can see all the jobs you've viewed, saved, or applied for, and Notifications are, you guessed it, where notifications are housed.
Search or be served: You can locate job opportunities at companies in your city or elsewhere with location-based search. Or you can search jobs by three different search criteria: title, location, or keywords. Or you can get recommendations and notifications sent to you based on your saved searches, previously viewed jobs, and, of course, your LinkedIn profile.
Quick application process: When you find a job you like, just tap the job posting and read the job description, and if it's an Easy Apply job, then you can just press the Easy Apply button and the app will use your profile and contact info to apply to recruiters and hiring managers for you. You can upload your resume in Word or PDF or not, and then tap the Submit Application button. There is no cover letter required. This makes it very easy to apply for jobs on the go.
If it's not an Easy Apply job, tap the Apply button and submit your application and resume the old-fashioned way on the poster's external site.
Notifications: Turn on push notifications and get everything from job alerts when new job listings are posted that'd be perfect for you to alerts reminding you to apply to saved jobs before they expire and even alerts when recruiters or prospective employers view your job applications.
Private searching: Most employed people looking for jobs don't want their employer or even coworkers at their current job knowing that they're on the hunt for a new job. That's why we were impressed to read that LinkedIn Job Search promises "Total privacy - your professional network won't hear a thing about your in-app activity," in its App Store description.
How private is your job search?: The app says "We take steps to not show your current company that you're open, but can't guarantee complete privacy." This is somewhat troubling in light of its previous claim that your job search is totally private within the app.
Pricey premium subscription: LinkedIn Job Search is free, but you can upgrade to a Premium subscription for $29.99 per month. This is particularly pricey if you're unemployed and may not even be worthwhile as LinkedIn boasts that it adds "insights on how you compare to job applicants and a company's hiring trends." Almost $30 a month seems like a lot of money for that info.
LinkedIn Job Search for iPhone makes the often arduous job search process far easier. Aside from the app's mixed messages on privacy, it's a near-perfect job search app for people looking to connect with prospective employers and land their dream job.
