Leawo Video Converter Ultimate downloads and converts videos from any site and rips and burns discs, including Blu-ray. The software packs in many additional features, like merging, external thumbnails, and disc menus and layouts. The free trial limits video conversion to 5 minutes.

Pros

Creates Blu-ray discs: The ability to create and burn custom Blu-ray discs sets Leawo Video Converter Ultimate apart from many free video converters that can create DVDs but not Blu-ray discs.

Two engines: You can select either the StarBurn or Cdrecord burning engines in the Copy & Burn settings, as well as a dedicated CPU core for processing in the Performance settings.

Blu-ray source codes: We could specify Source Region Codes or set the software to ask every time.

Cons

Busy layout: Video Converter Ultimate's browser-style layout could be clearer and more efficient, especially the Download tab. We enjoyed the ability to download videos from sites other than YouTube, but opening a Web page (ads and all) in the software's layout sometimes makes it difficult to download (or even find) the right feed.

Bottom Line

Leawo Video Converter Ultimate is competent software, greatly enhanced by its ability to create and burn Blu-ray discs.
