• Bought activation, program not activated. No support.

  Summary

  It looked too good to be true and it most likely is: a full Office suit at a very reasonable price. Unfortunately, after buying the activation I could not activate the program and the very annoying ads keep coming. The PDF converter is limited to 5 pages. I contacted support, received a template reply to send them a screenshot, which I did. After that, no more reply. They are either the victim of their own success, or it was a scam all the time. Shame, really.

• Spyware, Stay Away from this office suite!!

  BEWARE - This latest version of WPS office accesses your webcam without your permission and then sends the data to an unknown location. I found out, using my Task Manager & the terminal, that it was trying to access my webcam (!) something that an Office suite shouldn't absolutely need to do. I went to check the processes because the opening page of Writer was trying to download the Free Templates thumbnails but it was blocked by the GUFW firewall.

  None!!!! Stay away from this software.

• Mother's Day Special Nag Screen Will Not Close

  Sorry, but I'm not seeing anything that sticks out as good or of any value to me.

  Cons

  I installed Kingsoft Writer a real free office alternative program and after a year of the program working great, I suddenly get a big 3"X2" Nag Screen saying the WPS Office Program is now 55% off. The Nag Screen has a (X) Close button but the button does nothing when I click on it. I am very annoyed because the Nag Screen is blocking my text messages and it covers everything else on my screen. For this reason I would NEVER buy WPS Office even if it was only a dime. I will now uninstall and reinstall Kingsoft Office and see if that works.

  WPS Office Nag Screens are like a virus that will not go away and they block off a big and important area of your screen.

  Extremely fast, Great UI, Full MS Office compatibility.

  Cons

  Not free (watermarks in printouts), not compatible with open office files, only Write (word) / Spreadsheets (Excel) / Presentation (PowerPoint) applications.

  Summary

  If you only care about writing documents, work with spread sheets or preparing presentations then WPS office is not the best MS office alternative, its the BEST office suite, period. It is way-way-way ahead in speed, looks & functionality than every office suite out there. Unfortunately, It's not free.

  Yes, it does all the functions flawlessly on PC , while it is still "free" period.

  Cons

  After the "free" period you are caught with tonnes of documents that you have converted to WPS formats and printing it is a chore with watermarks and nag notices and other functions being curtailed

  Summary

  Dont trust this review and dont download WPS Office for PC but it is OK on Android.

  Just got through transferring all my files onto this 'World's Most Popular FREE Office Suite' to find out it isn't free. It's a trial. It then becomes utterly useless because you can't even print documents any more without a stupid watermark. Wish I'd read the reviews before I installed this rubbish, won't be going anywhere near Kingsoft ever again.

• What is the point of not allowing SAVING!?!

  worked great and could save into 2007/2010 format and this had a lot of nice features of Win2007 & 2010. This was basically the best free office program. but...

  Doesn't allow saving! keeps saying that SAVING is a feature of their Business Office therefore you have to Pay for business to be able to save a document. therefore, this is absolutely useless! whats the point of having an office program when you can't save work. u can only use this to view things. might as well us libre office or google docs/sheets for documents and spreadsheets. Also, the watermark thing?!? what is the point i can't use this program in any professional means when there's watermarks. Therefore, i cant use this program. I'm running a business and want a free alternative. so don't tout this as free

• It's ok but......

  Pros

  I tried Kingsoft a couple of years ago. I didn't like it then because it used only metric measurements. I think in inches, not metric. So, I quit using it after only a couple of minutes, literally. Today, I see that there is an option of using inches. that makes it more user friendly for me.

  Cons

  The con is that according to their website, the free version would include a watermark. I am a linux user so I don't know if that would change the picture and if Linux users would not be required to accept the watermark, but boy, if I have to accept the watermark, I will just stay with Libre Office.

  Summary

  Only time will tell. Notrhing has been better than LIbreOffice and I think LibreOffice is still going to be the winner for me.
