A sound, word, or phrase is displayed at the top of the screen along with nine possible translations. Selecting a correct translation will award two points to the player while answering incorrectly will subtract a point. The goal of the game is to beat scores set by various Japanese players. The player has 60 seconds to score but can freeze the timer at any point, activating a practice mode.
