Editors' Review

Though certainly not the best such game we've ever played, the soccer-simulation title exceeded our expectations. When we learned that Goofy Soccer comes as a tiny, 1MB file, we braced ourselves for a very low-end experience. Also, though the game's 3D graphics aren't mind-blowing, they're certainly better than that of many other larger titles we've seen. We especially liked the realistic crowd roars, which add to the competitive ambience. In terms of gameplay, this program doesn't offer anything beyond a basic soccer match, though you can play in both single-game and league modes. You also can choose a bird's-eye or a first-person camera view, but the trial version disables many of the game's other features, such as the ability to edit leagues, teams, and players. However, since it exacts such a minimal toll on your system, we can recommend Goofy Soccer to all fans of sports games.
