A GPS receiver is essentially represented by the GPX file, intended to store the points of interest (waypoints). The data from this file, in addition to the GPS device can be loaded with PC applications, such as older MapSource, or newer BaseCamp. We are talking about products of U.S. companies Microsoft (MS Outlook) and Garmin (GPS device). After all, the file structure for data exchange corresponds to certain standards, so we can assume that this application can be used by those, who own a GPS unit from other manufacturer.
