Frosinone - The Clubs history

Frosinone Calcio was officially born on September 19th, 1928, and has a long tradition. In recent years, Frosinone participated six times in Serie B often as a protagonist, conquering the first historical promotion in Serie A in 2015, to become - after AS Roma and SS Lazio - the third most famous club in the Lazio region.

The best period for the Club coincides with the presidency of Maurizio Stirpe, Benitos son (former President in the 60s), who took over the company in 2003.

Indeed, the clubs new stadium takes the name of current presidents father: the Benito Stirpe, inaugurated on 28th September 2017, is one of the three italian stadia directly owned by a club (in addition to the Juventus Allianz Arena and Udineses Dacia Arena).
