Free Browser SpX

Editors' Review

by   / February 27, 2009

When are people going to learn that less is more when it comes to design? It's as though someone took all the concepts they learned in Web-design class and applied them to this unappealing freeware browser without thought or logic. It's that bad.

Free Browser SpX's interface looks like a circus jumped onto your screen. All the colors, icons, and cheesy pictures jumble together. There's no rhyme or reason to it. The browser's performance didn't impress us either. We continually received script error messages as we browsed from one Web page to the next. At times, there were so many script error messages that our computer froze. We had to force the browser to close. Free Browser SpX comes with preloaded links organized by various subjects of interest, but clicking each link opened a separate window using Internet Explorer.

Sure, this browser may be free, but that's no excuse for the horrible design. Stacked up against Firefox and Internet Explorer, Free Browser SpX has nothing to recommend it. We suggest that you run far, far away from this eyesore.
