Windows' less-than-stellar file-management skills become evident once a PC gets jampacked with documents, but File Notes Organizer Pro delivers an alternative way to organize your data. It lets you attach up to four notes to files and folders, and even annotate several documents at once. The clever but oddly named Bookmarks feature extracts document pages, image details, or video stills for annotation. Collections, on the other hand, lets you create a single view of files scattered over several folders. The program integrates with many search applications, allowing you to build collections by selecting and right-clicking search results. Although we generally like how this program works, the cluttered interface makes it seem more complicated than it is. Most experienced users should be able to find their way around this app fairly quickly, though. If you find yourself buried under tons of documents, using File Notes Organizer Pro is a good way to dig your way out.
