Fall armyworm (FAW) (Spodoptera frugiperda J.E.Smith) is as invasive insect pest into India since 2018 with its attack largely on Maize. Diagnosis of the insect stages in the field, the method of monitoring and the package of practices to manage the FAW along the lines of integrated pest management options (cultural, biological control (parasitoids, botanicals & microbial), behavioral (pheromone based) and chemical (ETL based) of maize have been put together in the app. The dosages of the different biological agents and of chemicals applied as seed treatment and/or foliar applications have been furnished. The calculations on the amount of chemical required for a given area of maize and its dilution during applications have been incorporated. Users have the option of selection along crop growth stages viz., Pre-planting, sowing to six leaf stage, seven leaf stage to flowering and flowering to harvest to know the appropriate FAW management options.
