Editors' Review

Anyone who shares a computer with other users risks exposing private information and documents. Encrypted Magic Folders addresses that problem, striking an elegant balance between security and ease of use. The software encrypts a user's private folders, requiring a single password for all protected data.

When a user logs in, the utility decrypts and encrypts data automatically without getting in the way of work. For absent-minded people, the program can automatically hide folders after 15 minutes of inactivity. The software allows multiple user accounts on the same machine, making it well-suited for family or shared office computers.

We recommend it to anyone who has to share a Windows machine, and is concerned at all about the privacy of her or his work.
