DopeCode Reveal promises to store your passwords so that you wont forget them, but instead, we found this program easily forgettable.
We were immediately annoyed to find that the program didn't provide a shortcut or hot key combo to bring up the application. Instead, we had to access it through our program files. There isn't a Help file, just the basic instruction to make sure the program with the password you want to reveal is running and then to click Next. We tried this with several Web sites and nothing happened. We couldn't get the program to reveal any of our passwords. Since you can't enter them into the program manually, DopeCode Reveal was useless to us.
DopeCode Reveal is free, but no bargain. It can't tell you your passwords and isn't worth the time it will take you to download it.
Have you forgotten a password but can see that password box? DopeCode Reveal will show you the password. There are some free utilities on the Internet that claim to do this, but many of them no longer work on the more secure Windows XP platform. Reveal will work on Windows XP. Following the instructions on the screen after installation, one can reveal a password in a single click. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
