• Demo download isn't worth it.

  Pros

  Based on just the demo I can't think of any.

  Cons

  The demo is horrible. It only shows you a 2" x 2" sample of your image after you apply the filter settings so you can't even get a good look at the result of the filter. Plus there is no suitable way to delete the download. It doesn't show up in your control panel->programs to uninstall and there is no link to download it.

  Summary

  I went to the developer's website and looked at the examples to get a better look at what the cutline software can do and the photos look great and Andromeda has a few other products that look good but as for this demo; it's not worth downloading.

• Gives a decent approximation

  Pros

  I was hoping to get an effect like what you might see on wine bottles - a photo transformed into a subtle monotone guilloche effect. It does this pretty well, but when looking upclose at the detail it isn't quite there. However, there aren't very many products like this out there, and cutline did the best job of the other plugins I tried. I especially did like the ability to change the color of the effect within the plugin.

  Cons

  Would like the detail to more closely emulate guilloche.
