This basic application for learning Spanish verbs beats flash cards, but would benefit from spoken-language features. Conjuga opens to a simple, attractive application window. The three main buttons are Recite, Learning Profile, and Dictionary. Recite starts the quiz, Learning Profile tracks your progress, and Dictionary provides a brief definition of each verb. To begin a quiz, you select a verb class (for example, "Regular, -ar") from a lengthy folder tree, then hit Recite. For each question, Conjuga supplies the infinitive, person, and tense. You type in the correct verb form, using a convenient drop-down list to enter special characters. Once you've answered correctly three times, that verb form is finished. You can create your own lessons.
The 10-verb limitation didn't bother us as much as the lack of audio did. What help there is appears at the bottom of the window. If you need intensive work on Spanish verbs, Conjuga will do.
