Pros
The cheetah is our go to program for just about any cd or dvd related task. It makes boot disc's slip stream, and backups. It's adware and bloat free, it is really lite and fast.
Cons
not using it
Summary
It is a great program for a reasonable price, it is Awesome!
Pros
Nice combo of features, like a swiss army knife for DVD's.
I recommend it, the only draw back. If you need to copy a
a movie dvd you will need a program like dvd shrink, to recode the files.
Then you can use the Cheetah to burn the movie files.
Cons
I like the audio converter but I wish it could grab youtube files.
Summary
Good burner program
Pros
This small program packs a lot of very useful feature from burning movie dvd's to data backups even boot disk's. I use it for a lot of stuff
Cons
need to be in the windows store
Summary
Very useful program for backing up data or burning iso files
Pros
It is simple and easy to use right after the download. The commands are very intutitive and straight forward.
Cons
Has a 15 day trial period, but is fully functional during the trial.
Summary
Really Great Program!
Pros
If not working at all is a pro, than this piece of garbage is great!
Cons
Upon first use the program stopped responding. Upon second attempt the software crashed and wouldn't even load again. Thought the negative reviews on this site were to be attributed to people that didn't know what they were doing, but no..... this software is trash
Summary
Don't waste your time.
Pros
No pros because it wouldn't work.
Cons
In setting up a new Windows 8.1 computer, based on the good reviews here I downloaded Cheetah and installed. I couldn't get it to burn a CD or DVD. It recognized my DVD drives but consistently wouldn't read from the source drive. Reinstalled several times with no success. Because of the good reviews, I made the mistake of buying it without trying. Bad mistake. I then purchased, downloaded and installed Nero and that works wonderfully well.
Pros
- Able to decode/convert MP3s to CD audio without a hitch.
Cons
- 15 Day Free Trial (but that's not a con to the program itself, you just have to pay for it if you like it and want to keep using it).
Summary
Just bought a used minivan (a 2003 Odyssey) and as you would guess, the factory head unit is still there, just AM/FM/CD (no mp3/wma support), no Bluetooth, USB ports, aux audio ports, etc. NOTHING. The radio started to drive me crazy since I haven't really listened to radio stations in the past 8 years, so I was desperate to find a program to convert/burn some of my MP3 files to CD audio files ASAP, while my new head unit comes in that will have all the nice things like Bluetooth capability, a USB port, etc. I don't really care much for audio CDs to begin with, they came out when I was a kid but now I'm a solid state addict. I searched a few nights and finally came upon The Cheetah. I don't know how well it will burn/make DVDs since that is not what I downloaded it for. I was able to make 2 CDs and I tested them and they work fine. The interface is so simple, reminds me of the Windows 3.1 GUI from way back. Just a few buttons and lousy graphics, but it WORKS! YAY! Of course, when you install it, you have to go slow and make sure you read what your checking on, if you leave a box checked or check the wrong one you will no doubt be inundated with Yahoo crap. Just go slow and you will have ZERO TOOLBARS and CRAPWARE, other people that get the toolbars just kept hitting NEXT and NEXT in succession without reading. I won't be needing it past 15 days but if you would need it for longer I would guess it's probably worth paying for it. Only con I found was you can't drag/drop files directly from the mobile device (I have an LG Volt) to the burn window, you get a dumb message that only certain file types are accepted, you have to copy to HDD and then drag them. Not a bad program for free!
Pros
After getting past the usually cnet spam (decline, decline, decline....) This did not seem to attempt installing any other nonsense. Then again it is only trial software for 15 days.
Cons
This is a DVD burner which I confused as a DVD maker. If you have video files it won't do anything more than make a data disc out of them which you can likely do by default with windows anyway.
You'll need to look into Cheetah DVD "Maker" if you want to make a dvd from files.
It's difficult to figure out what it is going to do.
Luckily I did not start because it starts you off to burn a data disc.
After closing the windows and starting a project it has "create DVD" which says you need the other software.
What good is a dvd burner alone that you would pay 20$ for?
Summary
I googled fast free dvd burner. It is free but I did not notice the trial. My own fault. Also assumed a burner would make a dvd especially when one feedback said it converts many file types.
Pros
After trying two lame burning programs, I finally tried the cheetah on the advice of a co-worker and we got a winner.
Cons
I will update upon further testing so far so good
Pros
Our company has a site license and we use the cheetah dvd burner every day. when work is completed we back it up on a DVD. It is nice to have a have copy of your files. The program is very useful because it has an option to import the last session, of your burned files so you can continually add new files to the DVD.
Cons
Not cons it does its job
Summary
Very handy program for data backups
