My grandfather, Andrew Zorne, was the sole president to a handful of landmark hotel casinos on the strip, including the Mint, Hacienda, and Park Place. His experiences showed me how Vegas really worked, from precise management to customer service.Las Vegas was the place where everyone knew your name and what you enjoyed. The relationships you developed meant you never had to worry about anything. It wasnt about the Big Players, it was about you. You felt like you were the only person in the place. That kind of service is what made Vegas successful, and its what were continuing to do today.My other grandfather, Lou Godino, owned and operated the Town Lounge in Rockford, Illinois.
