The Benzon Symposia are international conferences on front line research in medical, pharmaceutical, and related sciences funded by the Alfred Benzon Foundation. The idea of the 61st Benzon Symposium is to bring together the worlds leading scientist within structural biology and create an intense and interactive environment for both young and experienced scientists. The 61st Benzon Symposium will highlight recent splendid achievements within structural biology, covering magnitudes of length-scales, from high-resolution analysis to whole-cell imaging. The main purpose is to gather leading scientists within different fields of structural biology to facilitate the exchange of methodologies and conceptual thinking. Great challenges within structural biology will be met by developing methods and hybrid structural analysis, enabled not the least by large-scale infrastructures. The sessions emphasize great achievements and challenges from different fields in biostructure, promoting cross-disciplinary approach and novel concepts. The titles of the sessions are: Impact of Large-scale Facilities on Biological Sciences Structural Studies of Functional Complexes Structure and Function of/in Biological Membranes Biomedical Applications Imaging: from Molecule to Cell Protein Dynamics and Kinetics
