In the Android adventure game, Batman -- The Telltale Series, you'll play as the Dark Knight, otherwise known as Batman, and his unmasked alter-ego, millionaire Bruce Wayne, as each, in their own way, attempt to save Gotham City from corrupt politicians and monstrous villains. Batman -- The Telltale Series is free with in-app purchases.
Choose your own adventure: In this game, you determine the flow of the storyline. Tap and swipe the screen and select your desired dialogue box to determine Batman and Bruce Wayne's actions. But act quickly or you'll lose an opportunity to gain the upper hand, or worse, die.
Engrossing storylines: In the first, a group of masked men, working under the Cat Burglar, break into Gotham's City Hall to steal a sensitive piece of information. They quickly kill a security guard. The police, led by Lieutenant Gordon, are after them. In a tandem storyline, Gotham City District Attorney Harvey Dent is running for mayor and Bruce is one of his biggest supporters. But Dent is too easily corrupted. It's up to you as the Dark Knight to help Gotham survive all this criminality.
A true cinematic experience: The gorgeous graphics and spectacular sound and score make you feel like you're watching a feature film.
Intuitive UI: When you start, you're given just three options: Episodes, Extras, and Settings. Tap Episode 1 to fly into the story; Extras, to learn more about the characters and locations long popularized by the Batman comics, TV shows, and movies; or Your Choices to see how they match with other players' selections. Settings offers a great How to Play section that tells you in simple terms how to control your character.
Cool Customizations: Select a Bat-Tech color: blue, red, yellow, or purple to customize the look of your gadgets, gear, etc.
Pay to play anything after Episode 1: You can only play Episode 1 for free, or buy the multipack (Episodes 2 to 5) for $14.99 to keep going.
Batman -- The Telltale Series is an exciting adventure game with great stories and cinematic effects that you won't be able to stop playing -- until you hit a paywall that'll cost you almost $15 to pass.
