This program basically is an Excel spreadsheet with a fancy skin. Amortizer helps you calculate loan payments based on interest and balance. With each new entry, you enter a loan name, the loan amount, month term, payments made, and the loan interest. From this information, the program calculates your balance. While helpful perhaps for the calculator-challenged, Amortizer could really benefit from added features such as payment reminders that pop-up close to due dates. As it works now, you've got to open the program and check for yourself. For this level of usefulness, a paper and a pencil might be just as handy.

The Amortizer is a loan calculator with a twist. The Amortizer calculator allows for irregular payment streams. Any number of payments can be skipped, any number of payments can be a fixed amount, or it can be a mix of both. The database will let you save and review all of your loans.
