The South Indian Muslim community in the borough of Croydon, who came to make their living in UK, has slowly built since the late 70s and 80s. Like minded professional migrants in mid 2000 noticed that this community lacked guidance on education, career progression, women progression and economic prosperity. This resulted in communal deprivation and a lack of sense of belonging".
As per the guidance of Prophet SAW, an idea was floated in 2013 to bring this community together to help prosper and maintain the cultural value of its Islamic Origin. With the growing need for the next generation of guidance, this organisation, AlhidayaCroydon was formed (UK Registered Charity No. 1165713 ).
