Pros
Easy to use, used since 2006 Feb on multiple platforms.
Support is WOW, fast and very thorough.
Cons
None so far.
Summary
Easy, visulizing, but allows also automation and wildcards.
Worked in XP 64-bit, Vista Ultime 64-bit, and now in win7 Ultimate 64-bit.
Really can recommend.

Pros
Easy to download
Cons
User interface prevents viewing complete directory paths, folder comparisons failed to find MANY updated directories and files, uses the Nethood instead of the actual networked directories or mapped drives, left changed files out during syncing
Summary
The application does not synchronize files accurately. It missed new directories created on both my desktop and on the laptop that I was trying to sync. There is no simple way to sync between two directories, but a series of steps is needed: first choose the two directories with a path window that doesn't allow you to see the whole path, then add those files to the basket, making sure that you tell it to be recursive (check subdirectories) THEN you can sync the files and dirs, but it doesn't actually find the changed files and then you have to push another button to actually sync. I can't think of too many better words than "sucks" to describe this application.

Pros
I had been looking around for a good directory sync took, and I saw the ADCS reviews, and downloaded it to try it.
ADCS is so simple to use, has an intuitive user interface, and it is blazingly fast in directory/sub-directory comparisons. Previously I had tried to keep my external USB storage drives in sync using what I called uh... "manual asynchronous mirroring". In otherwords, painful file explorer copies.
In under an hour I had my three large external USB drives in sync (pictures, music, office files, etc., including the time for "Reading The Furnished Manual" user guide).
This is one of the best SW tools I own.

Pros
I've been using various versions of this program for about 2 years and it has absolutely saved my sanity. It's one of those programs that is fairly simple and straightforward for beginners, but also offers complex synchronization strategies for more advanced users. If you are trying to maintain duplicate copies of files between your home and work computers, or flash or external hard drives, don't let your head explode trying to figure out which files have been updated most recently, this program will do that for you and update the old file accordingly. The feature I love most about it is that you have complete control over which files get copied or updated - it tells you ever step of the way what will be copied, in which direction, and what will be overwritten (this is the part that offers the most customization options). The program works with any storage device attached to your computer - usb flash drives, external hard drives, and I have also been able to use it on two different local networks to update my files stored on the server. My purchased copy of this program also came with a lifetime upgrade, which I've taken advantage of for the past several upgrades. Great little program and highly recommended for everyone.
Cons
There are 3 main buttons that one ends up using over and over for selection of directories and synchronization activities. It would be nice to see those particular buttons more prominently displayed in the program (particularly for novice users).

Pros
Overall I can not tell you how much time ADCS has saved me and protected me from deleting key files. I don't know how anyone who uses a backup drive, external drive, network drive or most importantly the increasingly large USB memory sticks could survive without this product. This should be a must have on everybodys shopping list.

Pros
I have been using this product for over 2 years. I use it to synchronize my PC my backup DVDs, so that only the files necessary are copied. It is also an invaluable tool when comparing changes from my laptop to my PC, or to insure I have not accidently deleted files since the last backup. There are tons of options to satisfy most needs, very deep utility. Well worth the money.
Cons
No cons, I have been very satisfied.

Thank you for your Heatsoft ADCS. I have successfully installed build 2 and I appreciate not having to go through the registration thing. Great service, great product! It has saved me hours in keeping three different computers in sync between home and work. I was recently shocked to find that I have over 55,000 files alone on my home computer. I don't know how anyone with more than one computer could survive these days without this product.
