The app has a multidocument interface and can be used to add high-quality vector map displays to your documents such as MS Word. A number of data import formats are supported, including MapInfo, ARCInfo, and Garmin GPS. A built-in scripting language can be used to create animation; automate map displays using data from other sources, such as an MS Access database; and serve images to interactive map displays on Web pages. Features include full control over virtually every aspect of a map display, many layers of maps and data, thematic mapping, a number of map projections, simplified access to digital charts of the world, searching for named data points, and world base-map data.
