Conversion preferences: You can also choose the conversion mode you'd like to use depending on how much you value accuracy over speed at any given point. Options include Accuracy, Balanced, and Speed, which gives you a boost of between two and two and a half times in terms of recognition speed, but also leads to a moderate increase in error rate.

Cons

No reverse functionality: This program does not offer the option of converting other formats into PDF. While this can be accomplished in other ways, it seems like a strange omission.

Bottom Line

4Videosoft PDF Converter Ultimate provides a lot of functionality in an attractive and accessible package. The program is free to try with the limitation that you can only convert up to three pages of a longer document or the first page of a document that's less than three pages. There is also a watermark on the converted file when you convert to an image format during the trial. The full version of the app costs $55.
