It looks similar to Notepad, but you'll find a few more options with 2G NoteWorks. Familiar icons and a File menu offer standard options for creating, opening, and modifying text, but you'll find more file type choices when saving a document. 2G NoteWorks allows you to customize headers and footers and check spelling, and a status bar displays cursor positioning with word and line counts at the bottom of your documents. The program offers an HTML Preview feature that lets you easily switch among three screen resolutions. You won't find a help file offered under the Help menu, but you will find two choices to designate 2G NoteWorks as the default text editor and to restore Notepad. The trial version has a 10-day limit. This program doesn't offer an extensive feature set, but it does offer more functionality than Notepad, and anyone can use it.
