StarNet Communications was founded in 1989 and incorporated in 1990. Its corporate mission is to create and market powerful, yet affordable PC-X server products for corporate, education, and government markets. Since 1991 StarNet remains focused on the X server functionality rather than bundling peripheral functions such as FTP, NFS and terminal emulation with the product. In 2005 StarNet introduced Recon-X, a new product designed to improve the performance of x servers.
