Snaptune Inc. is a privately-held, Bellevue, WA corporation founded in 2005.Our first product, Snaptune One, was created because we were frustrated by how hard it was to find great new music to buy. We tried all the online music services, we clicked through catalogs containing millions of songs, we read all about the bands, we clicked on slow-to-load, 30s snippets of songs, but all we found was more of the same: there was no human guide there to help us find great new music to buy, certainly not one with local knowledge and an appetite for variety. Meanwhile, however, we heard great new music on local radio stations like KEXP and KNHC. Local DJs guided us to new songs, often radically different to the ones we already had in our collections, but sadly they rarely announced the name of the band and when they did we were normally driving and unable to write it down.
