Rising Sun Research (RSR) was founded in 1999 as a technology spin-off from the visual effects company Rising Sun Pictures. We had started to build a colour management system for use in a range of films and we thought – why not let other people take advantage of these ideas as well? Since that time RSR has developed into a specialist provider of tools to visual professionals with clients including some of the biggest (and smallest) visual effects companies, film labs, educational institutions and film productions in the world.
