"Vtuner does not respect their employees"

    April 8, 2013  |   By robtnieves

    Version: vTuner 4.0

    Pros

no pros to this program they use tech that is at least 15 yrs old

    Cons

as a former employee of vTuner I want it to be known that they do not support American employees. A number of us were let go today 4/8/2013 because they decided to outsource or jobs overseas. We have been left with nothing to fall back on not even a weeks severance. We just walked in and was abruptly turned around with no job.

    Summary

If you value American workers DO NOT USE VTUNER! If you use vTuner you are supporting the outsourcing of American jobs to India!!

"Disapointed with the service though the product is OK"

    September 22, 2008  |   By limbic1

    Version: vTuner 4.0

    Pros

Wide range of many, though not all radios and TVs out there.

    Cons

I purchased VTUner as well as other downloads. Unfortunatley recently I got a problem in my computer and my computer was "cleaned up". I contacted V tuner and gave them my purchase order numbers to redownload. No response from them.

"vTuner is simply the best Internet Radio "tuner" program for your puter!!!!"

    January 2, 2008  |   By bankdude

    Version: vTuner 4.0

    Pros

I have tried a bunch of these programs and if you want an Internet Radio player which is easy to use, easy to configure and updated with new stations automatically, then this is the program for you. Very customizable with the favorite stations you find and the search feature is easy to use. Better than the stock windoze media player!!! It works with both Real Player and Windows Media Player depending on the stream type.

    Cons

No skins to play with (even though it looks like they have planned for them some day) You can not customize the station's name displayed, it is what it is. Really petty things...This is a great program!!! IMHO I registered it before the trial was up!

"The Best Free internet TV site"

    December 11, 2007  |   By welyweah

    Version: vTuner 4.0

    Pros

After testing various TV software and visiting loads of sites. most of them offer a free trial or preview and then they make you pay to sign up, or are cluttered with ads. I think that is ridiculous... so ive done my research and have found a couple of really decent sites. The first one Id like to draw your attention to is (viewmy.tv) This site has almost 1300 channels from around the globe and counting. it is

free to register and they dont ask for stupid details, just your username and email address. It actually streams live channels so you dont have to download any and they have a pretty easy way of finding the channel you want. You can search through genre, country, region or name of the channel. oh and there are

no ads either. Check this one out. With over 1300 channels from hundreds of countries, loads of features like channel rating, user recommendations, live chat, profile pages and much much more.

"There are better solutions out there"

    January 25, 2007  |   By rohlica

    Version: vTuner 4.0

    Pros

I really liked this service about 3 years ago but stumbled on a new competitor called RadioTime which is like a Mercedes compared to this Toyota. It still valuable and works but RadioTime has many more features.

    Cons

Nothing I don't like it works fine but is limited by the data in the guide. Try some alternatives.

"Nice interface, many features, could be easier to use"

    January 22, 2006  |   By monkeyjunkie

    Version: vTuner 4.0

    Pros

Nice interface, decent selection of channels, most of them worked for me but it took quite long time to load them.

    Cons

Window can not be resized so no chance to see details in columns. Slow to use. I would still prefer I tried also Online TV Player 2.9, which has Radio stations as well. But in both cases I recommend Radio-locator.com as the best source for radio and wwiTV.com as the best source for TV. Try out!

    "..works!"

    February 19, 2005  |   By frankiboy

    Version: vTuner 4.0

    Pros

works well, with one of the best, possibly, most extensive lists of worldwide radio and tv stations available online. broadcast schedules and country listings. scheduled playing (morning alarm?) and recording possible. both real player and windows media player used, depending on station broadcast. more comfortable to use than winamp's radio function. regularly (daily?) updated station listings to avoid blank links (as much as possible).

    Cons

$39 after 15day trial (but no need for subscription)! would recommend trial (and purchase) to all concerning online radio and tv users.

    "great"

    October 18, 2003  |   By jcjs33

    Version: vTuner 4.0

    Summary

i've used V-Tuner Plus for years..it's still the best getter of streaming music..SwissJazz comes only from using this and it's , hands down , the best Jazz..same with lots of other music..i use Winamp mostly but but V-Tuner has gathered great stations for my RealPlayer..ya can visit the sites and pull stations into either Winamp or RealPlayer i suppose but i use RP or Winamp a great deal...experimenting with the new 'iTunes' now but it's not as good as RealPlayer or Winamp for streaming radio and that's what i listen to mostly...WindowsMedia is too clunky and brings up the music's web sites too often...i have RealPlayerPlus8 and have had it for years and refuse to get RealOne which they like to bug me about and i hear is junk...ya don't have to pay any money to get V-Tuner's music..but my V-TunerPlus, i think, i originally paid for..and RealPlayerPlus8 i probably paid for too years ago but there's a free version of RealPlayer that'll pull in V-Tuner music..i listen to Amsterdam, SwissClassics and Swiss jazz and i've pulled a lot of radio stations in by using V-Tuner which you just add to RealPlayer's list..you can use RadioLocator or DickBeckers to get lots of Radio Stations...also, you can go to the websites listed in V-Tuner, go to there web sites and add them to 'My Favorites' to go directly to the website to play the tunes in Winamp..so, i give Winamp(with the great 'MilkDrop' visualizer) and the V-TunerPlus / RealPlayerPlus8 combo the top slots for listening to any kind of music...all other programs are secondary
