"uTorrent is best available torrent app"
Version: uTorrent 0.9.3.4
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have been using the newer versions of uTorrent for quite a while and it works like a charm!
Sure uTorrent was a bit buggy here and there i the past, but it seems all over. Some user forget that the use of torrents still depend on their own setup including network and skills. Maybe you have a car you, but still need a drivers license and skill to drive it, and you cannot blame anybody for forgetting to fill an empty tank with gas! Now uTorrent is stable, reliable and fast. The user interface is simple and to the point. You're able access all relevant information through the panes and you can show and hide this information easily. The preferences is easily understood and manipulated to your specific needs. Until lately the speed control was not completely reliable but it seems better now.
I can warmly recommend uTorrent. -
"Fail . . ."

This application does not play nice with other torrent applications and hogs machine resources. I can not recommend this in its current state. -

"Can Be Good, In A Million Years"
Version: uTorrent 0.9.1.2 (15399)
Pros
Lightweight, doesn't crash, native interface.
Cons
You can't choose where to download your files - SERIOUSLY?!
You can't add labels.
You can't edit a transfer before it's added.
Removing files is tricky - very easy to remove the wrong transfer.Summary
It's not buggy where it would be acceptable to be - I could live with it occasionally crashing or freezing, even losing files. Instead, it makes managing your transfers very difficult and is extremely exasperating to use. Compared to Transmission, it doesn't stand a single chance.

"Best Torrent Client For Mac!"
Version: uTorrent 0.9.1.2 (15399)
Pros
Many useful features to organize all your torrents
Very lightweight still
Can choose which files to downloadCons
Still quite buggy, as it is in beta
Doesn't have the option to choose where to download a file before you add it, or to choose which files to download, so you may have to add all torrents in a stopped state.Summary
uTorrent is likely to be the best Mac torrent client, when it gets rid of a few more bugs. It is still very usable, and it's feature set is good enough that it's almost as useful as Vuze for pure torrent downloads, but nowhere near as bloated. It has far more features that other lightweight torrent clients for the mac, which some seem to only allow you to download a torrent, including all the files, and never seed it. I'd suggest trying it out, and watching it for a while. If it doesn't have the features you like yet, or is too buggy, just wait.

"No Problems with uTorrent using PPC"
Version: uTorrent 0.9.1.1 (14940)
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This version appears to be the same as the one released by uTorrent on March 28, 2009.
I am running 10.5.6 on a G5 iMac PPC and have had no problems with uTorrrent since version 0.9.1.1 was released. Although the VersionTracker specs indicate that this application works only on Intel based Macs, my own experience indicates otherwise.
