"Ads can be removed with simple click in uTorrent"
Version: uTorrent 3.3
Pros
Insttall ready to go.
It is known fact that ADS ARE OPTIONAL, here is your guide to remove them:
http://www.wikihow.com/Remove-Sponsored-Ads-from-uTorrentCons
Ads are killer for any app. Look at android, all that have them noted a 87% drop in downloads and use.
Many of true control options are almost hidden and not easy to really @control@, on the other hand, once you install it (now, versions 3+) you are ready to go almost no tweaks are needed, unlike old days where tweaks were like its PHD engineer in networking is needed at your side.Summary
I never was a fun of add supported software even though it is absolutely a must today.
uTorrent is one stable, reliable, fast and clean way to download from bitTorrent repositories arround the globe, as much as your friends back drive too. It is the sam client as BitTorrent since same team is making it. So you really get original Torrent client as a tool. -
"MANY ADSVERTISEMENTS"
Version: uTorrent 3.3
Pros
USED TO BE GOOD
Cons
ADDED A LOT OF CRAP AND I WON'T BE USING THIS EVER AGAIN!
-
"Scumware Alert!"
Version: uTorrent 3.3
Pros
uTorrest was the best torrent program for years and years.
Cons
The installer offers you several freeware installs. That'd be no big deal, just you just uncheck the boxes, right? But Conduit toolbar -- a fairly nasty piece of crapware -- will install with uTorrent and you won't be given a chance to opt out. Conduit will hijack all browsers simultaneously. Problem has been ongoing and unresolved for two or three years now. After researching the problem, apparently bittorrent/uTorrent have a contract with Conduit and are making a lot of money from them. So don't expect this problem to change anytime soon. And the most recent uTorrent seems to get a bit lost looking for peers and handling magnets.
Summary
uTorrent was great and it can be great again. Just need to clean up the mess.

"DOG POO ADVERTS!!"
Version: uTorrent 3.3
Pros
WHY DO I NEED TO BUY DOG BUCKETS WHILE DOWNLOADING A MOVIE I LIKE?
Cons
JESUS CHRIST!!
Summary
Utorrent history is gone!! Now they are filled with nonsense adverts and broken seeders!! Guys, all switch to Tixati please!!
-
"This product simply is not good anymore."
Version: uTorrent 3.3
Pros
It functionally downloads torrents.
Cons
It's riddled with ads. It doesn't automatically initiate downloads anymore. Magnet downloads have stopped working. After manually initiating a download, it usually takes several minutes to ramp up to speed, on a ported fiber connection.
Summary
uTorrent has been on a slow, steady decline ever since BitTorrent bought them out. Well, they've reached a point now where the product isn't worth downloading anymore. Tixati or BitLord are both better applications, but have worse interfaces. Please don't support this product anymore. Get something worth your time.

"Loyal but disappointed..."
Version: uTorrent 3.3
Pros
Based on overall performance, I really couldn't find any stand-out improvements.
Cons
As stated by "robonik_b" this version is a step back for the program. I would agree and stick with an earlier version. I found the 3.2 beta version works great in comparison.
Summary
I'm still sticking with this program but prefer not waiting weeks for files, so choosing an earlier version might be a good idea. I feel the new updates were an honest effort at improving minor things, but the larger things took a toll as a result. (i.e. performance)

"Switching to Tixati because of ads in uTorrent"
Version: uTorrent 3.3
Pros
I've been using uTorrent for several years. It worked very well for a long time.
Cons
Some time back it started losing my active torrents when closed and reopened. Now that uTorrent has ads I have just switched to Tixati after seeing it recommended at Gizmo (techsupportalert).
Summary
Tixati seems at least as good as uTorrent ever was, and Tixati has no ads.
-
"Interesting. UTorrent says there are no updates."
Version: uTorrent 3.3
Pros
Usually an improvement
Cons
Not interested in adding ads or add-ons. Fail
Summary
Interesting. UTorrent site advised (6 Feb) that there were no new versions when I clicked 'check for updates' - and I am running v3.2.3. Apparently the UTorrent site doesn't know it has been updated!
-
"I can no longer change file information."
Version: uTorrent 3.3
Pros
One con has erased any pros this version may have. See below:
Cons
When I try to change file info like Album, Artist, Title, I no longer
have permissions to modify. This means files will not show properly in my audio player (Sansa Clip+). This really sucks. All other podcasts that I download directly from websites I can still modify.Summary
They've managed to take away functionality in this version. Stay away. Keep the old one.

"Used to be good"
Version: uTorrent 3.3
Pros
Small footprint although it used to be MUCH SMALLER (Called Micro-torrent)
Cons
As others have stated it tries to add junk on your computer.
Added advertising now too
Not micro anymoreSummary
They sold out to corporate America
users saw it coming when the company was sold
