    "sadly no longer works"

    February 29, 2008   |   By Frank Nospam

    Version: syncOtunes 0.95

    Summary

This program WAS excellent, but has not been maintained and no longer works Tiger, Leopard, and MacIntels in general. I would recommend it for anyone still running Panther.

I can get this app to launch, compare and everything but actually copy the music files to a folder. Not worth much to me.

    "Works, sorta..."

    August 22, 2005   |   By Craig Riha

    Version: syncOtunes 0.95

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
In my use, it will only copy songs off of the computer I'm using, and not recieve them from the second computer. Even that barely works.
Plus it took reading this site to get it to work at all...

It does a good job at comparing the 2 libraries though.

It would be great if you could import them into iTunes directly from this program too.

    Syncotunes needs some work.

    "Not to shabby"

    January 26, 2005   |   By Cool6324

    Summary

I think it's a great app. Helps me keep my library up to date on my two iBooks. All that need's is everything to be a little more automized giving a option to press buttons, and a one click sync. It does not import songs into library, you have to highlight and open then into iTunes. In my opinion apple should make this apart of itunes. A+ App

    "Does work!"

Ignore my previous post. The default prefs do not allow copying. To get the program to work, you must go into prefs and uncheck "one finder copy process".

-1 star for shipping with default prefs that don't work.

Thanks to the developer for quickly answering an email about this.

    "Works as advertised...with one glitch"

    November 18, 2004   |   By Catservant

    Version: syncOtunes 0.95

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have a nearly 1000 song library that I had previously copied manually from my PowerBook to my server. I added 38 tracks this evening (which pushed the total above 1000) and used syncOtunes to sync them up. Mission accomplished.

The glitch is a dialog box that says:

Your iTunes lib is not on your startvolume.
Be sure to mount / establish a network share for
         the following volume:

         Share
when the "Share" volume is already mounted. However, when I click "OK", the remote iTunes lib loads successfully and I am able to synchronize the two libraries. I think it's probably due to the fact that the User folder is not on the boot volume on my server.
