"Reply to Dick8888"
Version: nBit HTML Viewer ActiveX 1.4
Pros
Hi,
i am the developer of this control. The following was explained to this person on several occasions via return email.
The control will register under Windows Vista, however you must be logged in with administrative priveldges, or if using the command line regsvr32, run the command prompt with administrative priveldges.
It is possible to "hook" link click events with the control. The solutions vary depending on the development platform being used. i am quite happy to email solutions for vb6, vb.net, c#, MS-Access/VBA upon request.
thank you

"Works fine in XP but not in Vista"
Version: nBit HTML Viewer ActiveX 1.4
Pros
We asked for the weblinks in html documents to be made clickable. This was promissed a year ago but never realised.
Initially the software developer was cooperative, but now simply ignores all emails.
Cons
Not Vista compatible: The OCX will not register under Vista.
Very annoying!
Also the OCX makes a clicking sound (just like IE6 and IE7) every time a webpage is visited for html viewing. This OCX can therefore not be used in the background e.g. to download the html source without it being noticed.
