"Terms of service are a JOKE"
Version: myYearbook
Pros
I do like it generally. Good to make friends.
Cons
The terms of service are bogus. They delete pictures of silly, harmless cartoons and let bare boobs stay up. They seem to target certain people and when you try to contact them, they have no way to except for suggestions and if you complain there, they don't respond. I have tried 3 times. If it was not for the good friends I made there, I would leave. Alot of adware and it always seems to be related to searches you have done on your computer. That makes me kind of nervous.
Summary
If you join, expect a slow moving, add filled site that will delete harmless things and let the VIP's (paying members) do what they like.

"Full Of Adware"
Version: myYearbook
Pros
None that I can think of
Cons
The publishers description of the site is absolutley misleading. It is completly full of adware and god knows what else. Immediatly after joining, be prepared for a barrage of spam and emails from them and, they have also found a way to get around your popup blocker. They have since changed their name to meetme.com I'm guessing that they had to change the name because of all the negative reviews. There is also a lot of racey photos from members and very foul lanuage on there for children to see because it does not look like they police the site much. I would definatley block this site if you have children that use the computer at home.
Summary
To sum it all up I would say there is a ton of adware and your popup blocker is usless on there. This is far from the social site that they are promoting, it is a dating site which makes it dangerous for children to be surfing on the site. Visit at your own risk and keep your children away from there also.

"Lots of sleeze-balls but can meet new people."
Version: myYearbook
Pros
Lots of opportunities to meet new people, near or far. "Lunch Money" can be used for lots of things, including donating to charitable causes of your own choice. Has a wide variety of activities to appeal to many tipes of people.
Cons
Lots of sleaze-balls of both sexes--be careful about revealing personal info--not the highest class of people; too many kids. New "VIP" paid memberships has created "class" system; many nice people have left. Staff not always responsive to problems.
Summary
System almost always up and running although there are often "bugs" in the rewarding of "lunch money" which I suspect are not really bugs at all, but the company's way of not paying out what is earned, especially to non-paying members. Membership was much more pleasant when it was free--before preference was given to paid members and before a "class" system was created. The admins sometimes disable accounts arbitrarily w/out explanation and w/out due process and do not respond to inquiries about the reasoning for their actions; this appears to be in response to complaints, but sometimes these "complaints" are made by nasty people (and there are a lot of them--there seems to be no effort to screen them out) who are blocked by users for their offensive, bullying and/or harassing behavior. For real serious friendships w/people I prefer facebook; I reserve myyearbook for "meeting" new people w/out any expectations for any substantive friendships and am VERY careful about meeting anyone in person. If you are female DO NOT post your last name or your real picture--it took only 2 days for a weirdo to find me and start harassing me and it turned out he lived only a few miles from me and I was thankful that I had not posted these. If you are male (especially middle-aged and lonely), be wary of any financial discussions w/women--I know of several men who "fell in love" and planned to marry, only to be taken when they sent the woman money for a plane ticket. There are some nice people on myb, but some really nasty and disturbed people as well.
