EMS HiTech was founded in 1999, after several programmers engineered a product for administering InterBase/FireBird server called QuickDesk, which was developed into a new product — IB Manager. The product had a great success, and we proceeded to a new product — MySQL Manager, which was meant for administering MySQL server. At the same time we developed several Delphi components to perfect our products: QuickExport, QuickImport, QuickLocalizer and QueryBuilder. At the next stage we produced small but useful applications for managing data on SQL servers — we called them MySQL Utils and PostgreSQL Utils. This work widened our knowledge about PostgreSQL and moved to the next administration tool — PostgreSQL Manager. Our database utilities were also our first experience in developing applications for Linux. In the beginning of February, 2003 we released three products at once.
