"Simply Amazing!"
Version: mHotspot 5.4
Pros
Allows me to get a stable 7 - 11mbps just by linking LAN using the Mhotspot on my Android Phone
Quick and Stable
Easy to use!Cons
Needs firewall access - this causes newbies to be completely unaware how problems occur.
Nothing Else!Summary
Highly recommended! Easy to use! A** Software! Works much effective when using a LAN conncection on your PC and linking the connection as a hotspot!

"loads of gotchas"
Version: mHotspot 5.4
Pros
did not try it. see below
Cons
Read privacy and crapware notices before loading. maybe you don't want to load this software.

"Worked on first try. Very cool."
Version: mHotspot 5.4
Pros
Easy and quick install. Just opt out of extra crapware, or just uninstall later. (It's free folks; Stop your whining!)
Here's the big one: Does not require two NIC's in the host PC! Just a single wifi adapter is needed. The only free ap I've found that can do this (at least that I've gotten to work.)Cons
No way to make it start automatically when the PC boots. (Have to type an SSID and a password every time it's run.)
No way to have an open (no password) hotspot. (What? Me worry?)Summary
Free, easy, and works on any wifi PC without having to install a second network device. Minor quibbles. Highly recommended.
PS: I have it running on Win7 Home 64-bit. I will follow up when I've tried it on an XP machine. Rumor has it that I'm getting a Kindle Fire HD under the tree, and I'll be at my mom-in-law's house (no WiFi) so I'll need a way to try out the new toy... err, productivity enhancing device... via her Win XP dinosaur.

"Never got past the slurry of stupid add-on installs"
Version: mHotspot 4.1
Pros
N/A: Couldn't get past all the add-on installations, so I never got a chance to try it out.
Cons
The manufacturers employ sly tactics to get you to accept and download a bunch of stupid browser add-ons, etc. I fought through the first one after finally noticing a little "skip" button, but the second was required for installation of the software. No good, guys. I bailed.
Summary
Don't bother. Whatever it offers can't be worth the IMSmiley pack and QuickSearch toolbar that they make you install.
-
"Installs add-on apps even when you say it not to."
Version: mHotspot 4.1
Pros
Broke off software installation after detecting more software installations going on. so; N/A
Cons
Installed extra addon software even after clicking that I didn't want that installed.
Summary
Don't install, never trust a company that installs add-ons even after you tell it not to install those add-ons.

"Does not work!!!!!"
Version: mHotspot 3.0
Pros
I have not found one.
Cons
There is none.
Summary
I installed the product and it connected one time. I have to fix a problem I was having with my internet and it would not set back up. It was not listed in my connections. This product is worthless.

"No installation necessary and works great!"
Version: mHotspot 4.0
Pros
No installation
Easy to configure
Easy to useCons
None for me.
Summary
This application works great. My workstation provides a wireless N signal throughout the residence. All my wireless devices connect with no issues whatsoever.
Kudos!!! -
"Don't waste your time"
Version: mHotspot 3.0
Pros
user friendly? If it actually worked that is.
Cons
Didn't work at all.
Summary
This program is basically idiot proof to the point of being useless. Once installed it only gives you three options. Setup, Start, Stop. Once you "Setup" your wireless one would assume start would run it. I have no idea if it does or not because it never tells you if its running or not to begin with and after pressing start multiple times my other wireless computer still did not see the network. Don't waste your time on this.
